  • 1. Steve would love to find his 1969 GTO which was stolen years ago. It had a gold exterior, gold interior, power windows, 4 speed trans, factory AC, rear defroster, bucket seats, center console, etc. It was in mint condition, he would be grateful to have it back. The VIN # 242379B163736.
    2. Ernie sold his first car, a 69 GTO convertible, years ago and he is curious to see if it's still alive. It was Mayfair Maize, gold int, blk top with hideaways, 4 speed, AC and pwr windows. It was sold in Philadelphia, PA. around 1979 for $400.00 (!!!) and was headed to Blackwood, New Jersey. The VIN is 242679B148243 and the engine was a WT, block # 0360815 with 48 heads. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
    3. Willy used to have a 1969 Ram Air III GTO with a TH400, 3.55 rear axle, verdoro green, hideaway headlamps and VIN # 242379B159658. The car was taken from a storage lot in Brunswick, Maine in 1990. It did not run at that time and did not have the original motor in it, nor did it have the driveshaft or radiator. He was the second owner of the car. He bought it 10/26/1976 from a local car dealer and still has the bill of sale. He has owned many cars, but this GTO was the best overall car he had ever had. He would love to recover this car and would be willing to pay the current possessor of the car a fair price for it. If anyone can help him recover his GTO, he would be very grateful. Thanks!
    4. Scott sold his 69 GTO convertible around 1999 or 2000. It was blue with brand new White top and Parchment interior, automatic, PS, PB, hideaways. VIN#242679B153992. The car was sold near Waterton Park, Alberta, Canada and was heading to Montana. It was purchased along with a white 1956 Ford T-Bird. Sure would like to get 'er back!
    5. James put his rust free 1969 GTO in a shop in Princeton, WV in 2005 for a complete frame off restoration. It was a gold 1969 convertible fully documented with 32,000 original miles. He paid a sizeable deposit and after 2 years of getting the run around he filed suit to get the car returned. This month, April 2008, the court ordered the shop to return the car. The matching engine and transmission along with the entire original front clip was gone and replaced with after market fenders and a few other after market parts. The black bucket seats, interior trim, mirrors, badges were all gone. The parts lost may have been in primer. While the law suit continues, I would like any information from who may have ended up with these parts. If the parts have been used, we won't request return, but just information on how, where and from whom they were acquired. Thanks, James.
